Leon Rosenberg, MD Psychiatrist Principal Investigator
Dr. Rosenberg graduated Harvard University with Honors in Biology in 1974 and received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York–Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse in 1978. He has been working in the field of psychiatry since then, beginning with an Internship in Psychiatry at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Hospital and followed by a residency in Adult Psychiatry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 1979 to 1981. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry, and he is Board Certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is also Board Eligible in Child Psychiatry as a result of completing a two year fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1983.
Dr. Rosenberg has been in private practice psychiatry for over 20 years. He has been the President and Medical Director of the Center for Emotional Fitness for 15 years. His dedication and caring manner have earned him the respect of both patients and colleagues. His treatment philosophy centers on patients’ wellbeing by educating patients to promote their own emotional fitness through an understanding of their condition. Dr. Rosenberg has been conducting clinical trials since 1994. He is the Principal Investigator in over 100 clinical trials.
Dr. Rosenberg has written the book, The Authoritative Guide to Psychiatric Diagnosis, a must read for patients, physicians, and all individuals involved in conducting psychiatric and CNS research studies. His expertise is often called upon for doing independent medical evaluations, forensic psychiatric evaluations and court testimony. Dr. Rosenberg has served on local and national advisory boards for many of the large pharmaceutical companies and is a sought after speaker in the area of adult and child psychiatry.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, Burlington County Medical Society, New Jersey Psychiatric Society, American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, Camden County Mental Health Board, and The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Dr. Rosenberg oversees the care and treatment of all of the clinical trial subjects at the Center for Emotional Fitness and is directly involved with each and every clinical trial subject as well.
